Our Mission
At Sterling Montessori, we believe in the power of community. The Parent, Faculty, Student Association (PFSA) connects families, staff, and students to enrich the Sterling experience through events, projects, and acts of service.
Every Sterling family, faculty member, and student is automatically part of the PFSA—no membership fees required. We invite you to share your time, talents, and ideas as we work together to support our school and one another.

PFSA & Volunteering
The PFSA brings together parents, faculty, and students to plan events, organize projects, and celebrate milestones throughout the school year. We are especially excited to include our Student Council in PFSA activities, ensuring that student voices help shape our community events.
All Sterling community members will be automatically part of our PFSA, with no membership fees. We hope you will give your time and/or your means to support PFSA’s initiatives for our Sterling community.

Community Events

Open House & Welcome Events
New to Sterling? Stop by our PFSA table at Open House! We love meeting new families and helping them get connected.
Giving Tree
During the holiday season, our Sterling community comes together to collect gifts and donations for families in need.
Garden Days
Held each fall and spring, Garden Days bring students and families outdoors to learn about our gardening program and the ecology of a healthy garden. Guest speakers from Triangle-area organizations join us—and you can even purchase plants for your home garden!
Movie Nights
Fall and spring Movie Nights are a fun way for the Sterling community to come together after hours and enjoy a family-friendly evening under the stars.
Staff Appreciation Week
Help us celebrate our amazing Sterling faculty and staff! We host several appreciation events throughout the year to thank those who help our children learn and thrive.
Sterling International Festival
Our largest PFSA event of the year! The Sterling International Festival celebrates our diverse community with cultural performances, delicious foods, and engaging activities. This festival reflects the global spirit and unity of our Montessori mission.

Spirit Wear
Show your Sterling pride! Car magnets, t-shirts, and other Sterling gear are available at community events and online. All proceeds directly support PFSA activities.

The PFSA proudly supports Sterling’s student-led Yearbook Committee, helping capture the memories and milestones of each school year.
